About Me
Background
I’m from a large family (8 kids!) in the Chicago suburbs where I leaned to share and work with others. After living in Chicago and a stint in Berlin, Germany I made my way to San Francisco in my 20s and found my version of utopia. My partner and I have two teenage daughters and an amazing little dog.
I have over 15+ years in Product Management and leadership roles working in various industries including computer games, shipping, weather, rewards, and healthcare solutions for consumers, payors and providers for the last 12 years.
Mentoring & Coaching
I formed a Daisy girls scout leader to a troop in San Francisco and I participate every year at career day at Aptos Middle school. I also participated in the Woman at Work group at Health Advocate.
I want to inspire girls and women to think big and give them the knowledge that they can achieve great things.
In the Art Studio
I am a creative person. When I’m not obsessing over product, I work in my metal arts studio, assisting the teacher and painting metal with flames.
It never ceases to amaze me how much designing software is similar to the process of making fine jewelry: figure out who will be wearing your ring, do a paper sketch, prototype with copper, keep changing it until you are fully satisfied, then do it all over again in silver. Don’t forget polishing and final touches, and then test it by wearing all day. :-)
Exploring the Great Outdoors
Nature sooths my soul. I find peace in spending every spare moment outside doing activities like Alpine and Nordic skiing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, trail running, and just walking my dog in Bernal Heights.
