  • Initiated and led UX redesign, improving digital integration and navigation, to create engaging, modern, mobile first digital experience across all product lines.  

  • Skyrocketed app downloads 480%, unique users 64%, and data-driven notifications from zero to 2.4M annually with features such as personalized self-service benefit hub, access to telehealth, chat, guided pathways, and quizzes.  

  • Boosted ability to implement new features faster by updating applications to modern technologies (e.g., React, .NET Core API, AWS) from .NET Framework and Webforms.  

  • More than doubled provider search tool utilization (253%) by enhancing with quality algorithm that enables members to locate in-network providers that deliver the best care at the highest value. 

  • Added 9 new clients with over 100K members within 3 months of launching new Be True Well-Being program (Jan ’23) to motivate positive behavior change and improve outcomes.

Developed and launched new interactive website and mobile app to enable members to access all Health Advocate services as well as other health, wellness, and benefit services in one place, seamlessly connecting them to experts and resources to help navigate the healthcare system and improve their health.   • Built out digital presence from brochure-wear site of largest product line to a personalized experience that drives consumer action. 

  • Developed library of nearly 1,500 unique health and wellness reminders utilizing unique data analytic abilities and machine-learning algorithms including prescription adherence alerts, care gaps, preventive screening reminders, relevant wellness workshops, and follow-up appointments. Delivered personalized recommendations with 54% of recipients taking action within a week. 

  • Increased first time app downloads more than 250% and unique website/app visitors by 86% since launch. 

  • Based on 2018, data analytics evaluation of program outcomes, the annual net medical trend for members that responded to outreach was 6.4% lower than for the outreach to non-engaged group.

Hired as individual contributor by CEO to develop Health Advocate’s health care transparency strategy to help client employees become more effective healthcare consumers.   

  • Launched easy-to-use web and mobile Health Cost Estimator+ (HCE+) that identified highest-value providers and surfaced full costs of care based on personalized, real-time out-of-pocket estimates. 

  • Sourced data from nearly 5 million members’ commercial medical claims and Medicare claims from 50 million members to ensure HCE+ provided accurate estimates for common procedures. 

  • 73% of users chose a lower-cost provider, for example, users who searched for colon biopsy saved $1512 on average.

Product owner of suite of provider and payer-facing applications for health plans, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), large provider groups, and hospitals. Leading product was MDsource 360, an interactive Provider Scorecard solution that helps Payers engage providers in initiatives like Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH). Established product roadmap. Directed design, development, deployment, marketing, and sales support for owned products.  

  • Introduced ability for clinicians to view their PCMH Provider Scorecard online and update member data for standardized measures resulting in increased performance reimbursements for 74% of eligible primary care panels and an average 4.7% savings against expected care costs.

Senior Product Manager

Drove the eBusiness consumer and provider-facing transparency strategy. Managed online experience for provider portal that enabled over 300K providers to perform tasks including support patient intake and manage payments an average of 10 times each month. Lead member of vendor selection committee for implementing member facing cost and out-of-pocket estimator tool. 

  • Demonstrated tangible cost avoidance of over $1.5M/year through deflection of service inquiries to more efficient channels (i.e., from phone to web).  

  • Increased use of Find-a-Doctor tool 10% and member satisfaction 5% through integration of online patient reviews.  

  • Research and developed Transparency Factbook, used by the eBusiness team to guide its Transparency Roadmap for the consumer and provider web portals.
